Forms

CopyLoop forms can collect contact fields, add a submission to a list, preserve attribution, and start an automation. A published form can be hosted or embedded according to the options shown in the builder.

Decide:

  • the one outcome the form serves
  • which fields are necessary
  • the target contact list
  • whether marketing consent is required
  • the success message or redirect
  • which domains may embed or submit the form
  • whether a submission should trigger an automation

Collecting fewer, purposeful fields improves completion and reduces data you need to govern.

  1. Open Forms and choose New Form.
  2. Add the required email field and any genuinely useful profile fields.
  3. Configure validation and clear field labels.
  4. Add the appropriate consent control and notice for the intended use.
  5. Select the target list and success behavior.
  6. Review appearance and mobile layout.
  7. Configure allowed origins and abuse protection when those settings are available.
  8. Publish the form.

Install the CopyLoop Connector on the site where the form is used when you want CopyLoop to associate permitted page, source, return-visit, or abandonment context with the form journey.

The Connector is a site-level installation. Do not paste a new copy into every form. Follow Install the website Connector and confirm the site connection before relying on attribution reports or website-based automation triggers.

Submit the published form with a clearly identifiable test address, then verify:

  1. the success message or redirect is correct
  2. the submission appears in the form results
  3. the contact was created or updated
  4. mapped fields contain the submitted values
  5. expected list membership was added
  6. consent state matches the choice shown on the form
  7. an expected automation enrollment started once
  8. attribution appears only when the relevant source and consent path are active

Also test:

  • invalid email and required-field behavior
  • duplicate submission behavior
  • mobile layout
  • blocked or unapproved origins
  • an automation that should not start

The form submits but no contact appears

Check the submission state, field mapping, required email value, target list, and processing error shown in CopyLoop.

Attribution is empty

Confirm the Connector is installed on the same site, the site reports as connected, the visitor’s privacy choice allows the relevant collection, and the submission occurred after installation.

An automation did not start

Confirm the workflow is active, its trigger references this form or resulting list state, and the contact was not suppressed or blocked by re-enrollment rules.

The embedded form is rejected

Check the allowed origin, exact site hostname, publishing state, and any configured anti-abuse control.
