Sending domains

A sending domain is the domain CopyLoop uses to authenticate email. CopyLoop recommends adding a dedicated subdomain, such as mail.example.com.

Add and verify the domain

1. Open Settings → Sending Domains.
2. Choose Add Domain and enter the domain or subdomain.
3. Copy each DNS record exactly into the DNS provider.
4. Wait for DNS propagation.
5. Return to CopyLoop and choose Verify. DNS changes can take up to 72 hours to propagate.
6. Wait for the domain to show Domain Verified.

Under Who Can Use This Domain?, keep All brands or choose Selected brands and grant access only to the intended brands.

The generated record names and values are specific to that CopyLoop domain setup. Copy them from the page rather than from another domain.

Tracking domains

A tracking domain is the host used for tracked links. Its status can show Securing links while CopyLoop prepares the certificate, then becomes active when the host is ready.

If verification is taking longer than expected

If a record does not verify:

1. Compare the DNS name, type, and value with the values CopyLoop shows.
2. Check whether the DNS provider automatically appended the root domain.
3. Remove accidental quotation marks or spaces.
4. Wait for DNS propagation, which can take up to 72 hours.
5. Check whether another record uses the same name.

Choose Retry verification after a failed or expired check; CopyLoop will inspect the existing DNS records again.

If the domain is verified but a broadcast still reports a sender issue, open the broadcast’s readiness message. Check that the From address uses the verified domain and that the email’s Brand is allowed under Who Can Use This Domain?
