Build your first brand foundation

The Brand area gives Loop and generated content reusable context. Its Knowledge Base, Brand Voice, positioning, terminology, audiences, and content types work together as a durable marketing memory.

Gather a small set of sources that are both current and approved:

  • two or three emails or content examples that sound right
  • a positioning, product, or launch document with real claims
  • customer proof points that are approved for reuse
  • a glossary or notes about required and forbidden language

Remove stale documents and material that only describes how the brand wants to sound without showing real examples.

  1. Open Brand → Knowledge Base.
  2. Upload a supported file, paste text, choose a Google Drive file, or import selected website pages.
  3. Give the source a clear title and choose the correct document type when prompted.
  4. Wait until processing completes before judging the resulting Brand Voice.
  5. Open or preview the processed source and confirm that it contains the material you intended.

Do not upload secrets, unnecessary personal data, or material your team is not allowed to use for this purpose.

Open Brand → Brand Voice. Review the detected identity, vocabulary, and channel-specific attributes against the source material.

If an attribute is wrong:

  1. Check whether a stale or low-quality source caused it.
  2. Correct or remove that source where appropriate.
  3. Use an override when the team has an explicit rule that the source material alone does not make clear.
  4. Test the updated context on a small draft.

In the brand positioning controls, record the information that should remain stable across work:

  • value proposition, mission, vision, and tagline
  • brand pillars and differentiators
  • competitors and how your position differs
  • required spelling and usage notes for important terms

Write these as facts an operator can apply. “Clear and confident” is less useful than “Call the product an automation workspace; never call it a CRM.”

Open Brand → Audiences and create the audience contexts that materially change the message. Include goals, pain points, objections, knowledge level, and any language that would be inappropriate for that audience.

Brand audiences help generation. Email lists and segments determine actual recipients. Do not use a brand audience as a substitute for a sendable contact segment.

Ask Loop to draft a short email, or create another small content artifact, using the intended brand and audience. Review:

  • factual accuracy
  • recognizable voice and sentence rhythm
  • correct terminology
  • appropriate claims
  • audience fit

Fix the durable source or guardrail when the same problem could recur. A one-off edit fixes one draft; better context fixes future drafts.

  • the Knowledge Base contains current, approved sources
  • Brand Voice reflects language your team recognizes
  • positioning and key terminology are explicit
  • at least one audience has enough context to change a message
  • a calibration draft needs refinement, not a complete rewrite

Continue with Voice and positioning or Draft and revise with Loop.
